MAKES ME REFLECT:

i'm soooo blessed to HAVE good friends. i mean i know i have a lot of friends but there will always be people who you thought they are your friends (and you may be even friends until now) but deep down they are just not. maybe friends on the outside and up to some level because of the experiences that you have shared, but i cant call it kaplastikan, maybe you can only be friends at that certain kind of level, nothing more, nothing less.

in my  years of bittersweet existence, of cracks and burns, of bumps and concussions, i now know what a TRUE FRIEND is. you dont have to trade secrets all the time, you may not even be together physically all the time too. both of you may not be updated with each others lives frequently. you may have huge differences. you may have this and that and all the gaps in the world. but i can point out a few tidbits on what a true friend really is:

~ somebody who can accept you for who you are.. past, present, future.. triumphs and losses.. good and points included
~ somebody who loves you enough to CONFRONT you when you are doinG wrong
~ somebody who can pray for you at times when you need them and even at times when you dont (he/she remembers you in prayers as much as possible)
~ somebody who helps you grow in God
~ somebody who can just listen now, give advices later
~ somebody whom you can call in the middle of night (but dont overdo this, your friends need to sleep too u know)
~ somebody who would never lose heart in your goodness as a person
~ and somebody who's gonna be there for you NO MATTER WHAT.

these friendships do not come overnight. heavy winds and waves will test through friendships, your differences may stand between, there are some who survive and there are some who don't. some friendships are not even meant to last but in one way or another, you meet these persons and they teach you a thing or two about life. time molds friendships, the same goes for relationships. for the friendships who have remained to the pure essence of friendship and brother/sisterhood against all the dark forces (cant think of a more "graphic" word), it is always about love - inspired by the the love of God, whom He has shown to us first and through Christ.

i hail from different friendships (and i'm sure so do you) but i guess i also have found those selected few whom i have found true to me. but that doesn't mean i take those other friendships for granted. i value every friendship most definitely. but there are friends that i hold closer to my heart.

you guys know who you are. my thanksgiving to Him alone who is the Giver of every good and perfect gift -- and at this case, true friends...
