Okay so last night I had my first Muller Rum. or was that bacardi? i dont really remeber now. What is Muller/Bacardi Rum you ask? Well, for me it was 4 hours of increasingly lubricated arguments again and again and again. Fun for all, let me tell you. Some random best friend for the evening said it could have gone all night but thankfully my gag reflex kicked in and eventually my brain decided it was time to shut off and allow me to blank out. The Rum started around 9 and I was out by god knows when. Man does my head hurt.

Welcome to Bindery: land of infinite variables.
Okay so last night I had my first Muller Run. What is a Muller Run you ask? Well, for me it was four hours of standing in one place counting to ten again and again and again. Fun for all, let me tell you. Bri said it could have gone till three am but thankfully the UGS managers decided to skip all their classes today and let the trainees go home and sleep. The run started at 6pm and I got out of there at eleven. Man did my feet hurt. Note to self, never wear converse when in the bindery lab. Ever again. So anyways basically the Muller is a giant machine that assembles books. We were working on the Open House booklets they are going to be handing out to the 5,500 perspective freshman next weekend. We had one chick working on filling sigs (section of the book) and a manager working on the cover feeder. Debbie and I were at the finishing end she did quality control while I counted and packed, counted and packed, counted and packed. Whew. The weird thing was when I trudged home last night I had the fattest grin on my face. I walked out of the UGS office and saw the Newspapers kids still working and the radios station kids still working and the Webbies (web press workers) covered from head to toe in ink and I dont know, but I couldnt help but grin. I love this Learn By Doing shit. I am a part of something big man.
