Too much to do...
Too much to do... Dammit!

These past few days have been very busy for me but very productive!

My camera has been having some issues for the past 6 months or so. I have been dealing with it and making the best out of it. I believe I have done a damn good job too being that I have taken thousands of photos and had very good feedback on them.

To get to the technical stuff... the film on the mirror inside of my camera was damaged. There are AF points that can be seen through the viewfinder when attempting to focus. Two of the points were clear red dots while the rest were just big hazy blurs. In addition to the AF points problem, the overall focusing and exposure wasn't correct.

There was no way I was going to be able to send the camera away for service and be without anything which would produce quality shots so I was "forced" to purchase a new camera. Being the person I am... I just "had" to get the Canon 40D kit from Horn Photo over at Nees and Blackstone in Fresno.

I must say... I have been shooting with it for the past 2 days and I just love it! Althought it is very heavy on the wrist.. I love it! It did take me a good while to adjust from the XT to the 40D but thankfully my client had booked me for 6 hours. Within those scheduled 6 hours, I managed to constantly shoot and change settings for a good 5 hours. By the time I had finished that session, I headed over to Club Habanos to shoot the Sexy Shades party. By that time... everything on the camera came to me as second nature.

Since I have purchased the camera two days ago.. I have managed to take a total of 3658 images. Out of those, I will be proofing and processing about 1800 for ClubFlys.com. I expect to have those images completed and uploaded within the next couple of days.

I have a lot on my plate right now but oh well. That's life... we work to enjoy our time off. Although, I haven't had much time off lately due to the excessive amount of work scheduled. I can only hope and pray for some quality time without any sort of work but while there are bills to be paid... I highly doubt that will happen any time soon.

I do know I am very long overdue for a trip to Colorado to visit my family. I miss them dearly and can't wait to go back and visit. Each time I go to Colorado, I feel as though my soul has been replenished with life. Looking forward to the time with family keeps me pushing on.

Someday soon...
