11.29.06 [ 1005 views ] Photo Bitch How to be a contributor to established commercial photoblogs. by Matt Take: - A few broad/scenic/crowd shots - A few shots of specific event activity (boats, singers, etc.) - LOTS of pictures of people attending (smiling, groups of 2-8 usually best, and of course make sure to get all the cutest girls and guys you can- girls are more important ;) - Minimum of 10-15 pictures per album, 20+ ideally (we show 20 per page, so 25 for example is good) - Reasonable captions, if you got someone's name say "Tom and friends enjoy the day," or "Taking a drink break" or something reasonably descriptive or even funny - Permission/promotion: always say something like "Can we take your picture for our parties website, PhotoBlogBullshit.com?" and then after remind them they can see it on PhotoBlogBullshit.com in a couple of days. - If your camera supports it, a few short videos (~10 seconds) can be good too, such as of the boats, or short music clips, or crowd shots
